About the Word Association Test

The WAT is the fastest of the three SSB psychology tests. You see 60 English words one after another, each on screen for just 15 seconds. Your task is to write the very first natural sentence that comes to mind — no definitions, no proverbs, no rehearsed answers. Assessors evaluate your responses for spontaneity, positivity, action-orientation and the 15 Officer Like Qualities.

⏱️ Timing

15 seconds per word, 60 words total. Continuous 15-minute test, no breaks.

🎯 What it measures

Subconscious attitudes, emotional stability, decisiveness, optimism, and the natural pattern of your thinking.

✅ Do

Write short, action-oriented, first-person sentences. Keep them positive, realistic and rooted in everyday life.

❌ Don't

Don't define the word, quote proverbs, list synonyms, or write moralistic one-liners. Don't freeze trying to be perfect.
