Contribution of North-East India — SSB Lecturette Speech Outline

Beyond “seven sisters” clichés. Use this outline under a 3-minute prep clock, then speak without reading.
Opening hook (~40 seconds)
If your map of India fades to grey after Siliguri, this lecturette is how you fix that in three minutes.
Body — three points (~90 seconds)
- The region is a security and connectivity hinge — borders with several neighbours, Act East roads and rails.
- Culture, sport and music from the North-East already punch above population weight. Name one state you have actually read about.
- Integration fails when the rest of India only talks of “insurgency”. Talk of students, tea, music and officers from the region.
Closing line (~50 seconds)
India is incomplete in the mind until the North-East is a place you can describe, not a headline.
What to avoid
Do not generalise eight states as one problem. Be specific and respectful.
Practise with the hub timer and the Lecturette GTO guide (3-3-3 structure, body language, chit selection).
