PGT-2 — Blue Wall and Raised Gap — How I’d Brief

SSB Command Task and Progressive Group Task briefing illustration — a candidate briefing two subordinates beside a painted outdoor obstacle.

Second obstacle: chest-high blue wall, 6-foot gap beyond, load cannot touch blue.

PGT · Full group. Obstacle 2 of 4 — material is already slightly wet from PGT-1. · ~8 minutes

Obstacle

A chest-high blue wooden wall, then a 6-foot air gap to a white finish cage. The wall may be climbed by people. No helping material and no load may touch blue. Ground between wall and cage is red.

Colour reminders

  • Blue wall — people only.
  • Red ground in the gap — fatal if the plank rests there.
  • White cage — safe finish.

Helping material & load

  • Long plank
  • Short plank
  • Rope
  • Ballie
  • Tolvi

Load: Sandbag (~20 kg)

What the GTO is waiting for

A complete brief (for comparison)

Steal the structure — aim, resources, sequence, roles, colour, fallback — not these exact words on the ground.

  1. Aim: people use the blue wall; load never touches blue or red.
  2. Resources: two candidates on the wall as human anchors; long plank bridged from wall-top hands to the white cage — plank rests on white + held, not on blue paint.
  3. Sequence: climb wall, seat two, pass plank to cage, guy with rope, slide sandbag along plank, then remaining climb and drop onto cage.
  4. Roles: two climbers first (light), two load handlers, one rope, one calling “clear of blue”.
  5. Fallback: if plank is unstable, pass the sandbag hand-to-hand over the wall to a person already on the cage — still no blue contact with the bag.
